Welcome!A Little about Loving MindsLoving Minds is a Mental Health Initiative created by Eda Mucaj at York University in Toronto. Its purpose it to share research based-knowledge and creative strategies to promote mental wellness in the community.
Due to the many firsts of a university experience, students have well known the cycles of depression and anxiety. All of the national surveys we have at our fingertips show a distinct rise in the number of mental health problems. In the past 15 years, depression has doubled and suicide tripled, according to a survey from the Anxiety Disorders Association of America (ADAA)1. This Initiative offers students an individualized approach to face the challenges and depth of their journey and in doing so, in living more how they want to live. It increases awareness about the well-being as a delicate balance between emotional, mental and the physical health to produce a mentality that serves a better future itself. The Loving Minds Team
